Harvest 2013 montalcino sangiovese
The climatic progression in Montalcino, as in the rest of Tuscany, continues to be full of ups and downs. Some days are sunny and others are cloudy with rain and heavy downpours.

Here in Sant'Angelo in Colle, fortunately, last week was cloudy but with the absence of rain.

The temperatures are much below the seasonal averages, with maximums of 25° C. and minimums that descend to 12-14°.

The grapes are affected negatively by this seasonal progression because they grow slowly.

We will return to the vineyard at the beginning of October to harvest, just as happened in the 1990s.

The quantity of grapes is abundant and for this reason we will have to, at least in part of the vineyard, intervene with pruning.
